Back to the Future is an American science fiction comedy trilogy (1985, 1989 and 1990), starring Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, a high school student who accidentally travels 30 years into the past to 1955, jeopardising his own future existence.

The hoverboard - a skateboard without wheels that hovers over the ground - makes its debut in the second film of the trilogy. Marty McFly travels to his future in 2015 and hovers through the air when chased by teen rogue Griff Tannen and his gang.

Designed to look like Marty McFly’s hoverboard from Back to the Future II, each coin is presented in a plastic capsule. The coin appears to be suspended and hovering within the case.
